Both the chihuahua fighting and the 11 year old omega tiny girl holding up a scythe for a bear like beast to pass through and not move an inch made me laugh my ass off. Even if that bear was completely made of butter that shit would at the bare minimum throw her off, and if it wasnt and she was glued to the ground it would probably rip her arm off.

In this fantasy world like so many it takes zero training or experience to achieve the incredible. Mostly applies to MCs...

Lol, you let the likes of Jonas scare you away 😆 I'm holding on and trying to make the most of all the cute shoujo anime I can get this season.
But this one felt like it was going to be interesting from the get go, artistic choices notwithstanding. Like a Joran and Kotetsujo no Kabaneri fusion of sorts.

It's not just Jonas honestly, the whole fairy in love in getting too cliche.... sure it's cute but...

I've seen this trope a lot in Western ya novels, not so much in Japanese fiction. But, I guess, everyone has different tolerance levels for certain tropes and ways of conveying it. Here's to not getting disappointed anymore(at least for this season)!

So Kanata's hunter was the father of Kouki all along!? I was thinking how is their story connected? or are they two halves of the grand story? They are connected.

Its so weird that the hunter's last words, "His name is Kanata". Ever since episode 1, I thought she would become a fire hunter. And then miss red hair kind of give another hint, "We share and trade, even our dogs and sickles". And she got her dog and sickle from previous dead hunters. Could the hunter have recognized her as a future hunter, so he giver her Kanata and the sickle?

Honestly the MC is starting to get on my nerves with how she keeps letting everyone walk all over her. She was bold and fearless in the beginning of the first episode but now she is acting like a quite church mouse and letting everyone take advantage of her. The guy taking paper from her when they first got to the village is pretty sleezy he had no business taking her money. I can understand Akira asking for compensation but not him.

The guy didn't take the money for himself, he took 1 sheet to pay for their stay, it was the only thing they had to pay with and the paper had been given to her to pay for the trip anyway and she would've had to offer 1 sheet anyway. At least in her naivety she didn't declare the number and tempt the villagers to ask for more.
Maybe he was a tad too assertive, but sleezy ain't it. The way you phrased the end of the comment would make people who didn't watch the episode or pay attention think he asked for any payment, which he didn't. He took charge of paying the villagers on behalf of all of them, even if it was her money. It wasn't polite or civil, but it wasn't what you say either.

She's just a little girl and what she did was incredibly brave to save that girl's life with that sickle...

Well...she is also a kid. Adults, especially male adults can be scary for children.

He wasn't menacing, though, he was rushing to pay, which isn't a bad thing, and it's true it was her paper, but in her ignorance, if she'd revealed to the villagers she had many, maybe they would've asked for more than they could afford on that leg of the trip.
He was kinda rude in declaring she had to pay, but if none of the others had anything, anyway, then they would've all come across as moochers, and she would've offered to help, I suspect.
I guess his being in charge of her for most of the time they were on the truck and the situation with the attack made him think himself the adult in charge of the group. *shrug*
Other than that, I agree that Touko is shy and very duty bound, so she would easily obey the adults surrounding her.

feels like a story, studio ghibli would cover. not all parts like always of course, but some of them do remind me of what ghibli covers.

How fast did they patch the lug-sail?
BTW: that sail is the successor of the lateen-sail (dhow, caravelle, chebec) and predecessor of the gaff-sail (cutter, brigg, etc.), which in turn evolved into the Bermuda-sail, which you can still find on Yachts today. The two evolved sails have in common that you don't need to lower the beam and move it around the mast in order to change the sail for wind from the opposite direction. To some degree, you can use the lug-sails for winds coming from the other side, but then the sail will get pressed against the mast.
